Sait Halim Paşa Mansion is located in Yeniköy district of Istanbul. The building, which is also known as “Lion Mansion” because of the two lion statues on its quay, was built in neo-classical style and belongs to the last quarter of the 19th century. In accordance with its style, despite its calmer exterior, it resembles a small Arabian palace, as heavy arabesque elements are used in its decoration. The building was named after Said Halim Pasha (1861-1921), who was the son of Prince Mehmet Abdulhalim Pasha, one of the four sons of Kavalalı Mehmet Ali Pasha.
